Finally, apply the changes so others will be able to hear your shared audio loud and clear. To fix this, go to your system's sound settings, find your Sound Control Panel, select Communications and then Do nothing. But if you’re sharing computer sound, the same setting that quiets other system sounds will also quiet the audio you’re trying to share. Most of the time, that’s probably what you want so you can focus on the meeting. If you’re using Windows, other sounds from your device (like notifications and alerts) are reduced in volume when you join a Teams meeting. After all, you should be sharing files, not frustration. If this happens, closing other applications can help. Get everyone on the same page with one place to work together easily on your most important content. If your computer is running a lot of applications, you may experience issues with sound quality, like lagging or cutting out. If your computer is running too many apps, your audio could suffer. Try to minimize the number of apps you run while you’re sharing your system audio. To avoid echo, remember to keep only one device’s mic and speaker on in a room. Select Share content in your meeting controls, and then Include computer sound. Join the meeting from your personal device by selecting Audio off when you join the meeting, which will automatically mute not only your microphone but also any audio playing from the teams meeting to prevent echo. If you want to share computer sound when you’re in a meeting room with a Teams device in it:
Unfortunately, we don't yet support sharing computer sound this way. Teams devices allow you to share content using cables connected to the room console. Include computer sound in a room with a Teams device Unfortunately, the same doesnt apply to a Mac, nor is there. Tap the button again to stop sharing sound. To achieve it, simply enable Stereo Mix as the recording device in the systems sound settings. Just select Include computer sound in the sharing controls near the top of the window. You can also choose to include sound (or stop including it) after you've already begun sharing your screen.
You might need to pause or play your video content to start sharing sound, or try the Include computer sound switch on the top left of your sharing options again if the driver fails to install. On the Input tab choose Soundflower (2 ch) Go into Skype and set its preferences for Microphone to Soundflower (2ch). Once the driver is installed on your Mac, you'll see a notification at the top of your meeting controls. Check Built-in Sound and Soundflower (2ch) Open System Preferences, go to Sound, and on the Output tab choose Multi Output Device. Just follow the simple wizard and click Install or Update. It takes about 10 seconds for the installation to complete.
On a Mac, you will need to install a driver the first time you include computer audio in a Teams meeting. Adjust your computer’s audio output in your system settings, and your Teams audio output in your device settings in Teams. If you need to record system audio, or audio from an app, you can use Audacity.Note: Teams and your computer need to be set to the same speaker. Most apps that allow you to make calls let you pick the audio device that you will use during the call. You should be able to do this in any app that can pick up audio from the mic and that lets you select which device to use as the mic. If you only need to route the computer’s audio to Skype for a single call, make sure you change the device under Mic back to what it was before you set it to Stereo Mix. This will apply to all calls that you make in Skype. The system volume will change the volume you get in Skype and you don’t want that. Make sure you change the volume in the app and not the system volume.
It’s a good idea to lower the volume in the app that’s playing the audio. This will probably make the call a bit difficult since there’s audio in the background now. This should work if you’re using an in-line mic or if you’re using a headset. When you make a Skype call, the audio that’s playing on your system will be heard in the call. Open the dropdown for ‘Microphone’ and select ‘Stereo Mix’ from the menu. On the Settings window, go to the Audio & Video tab. Click the more options button next to your name and from the menu, select Settings. Once you’ve enabled Stereo Mix, open Skype. If it doesn’t, you need to install the RealTek audio driver on your system. If you do not see it, right-click an empty area in the devices list and enable both the ‘Show Disabled Devices’ and ‘Show Disconnected Devices’ options. If you see ‘Stereo Mix’, make sure it is enabled.
Open the Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound.
